Becky Birdsong

Becky fell in love with the transformative power of storytelling at the age of 9 while watching a touring production of THE WIZ in her hometown of Dallas, TX. She knew she was meant to spend the rest of her life telling stories of love, acceptance, and friendship, and she has pursued an acting career ever since. After winning Best Actress in 7th grade and performing in numerous musicals and plays in high school, Becky attended and earned her BA in Theatre Performance from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. She moved to Chicago shortly after graduation, and spent the next few years honing her acting skills working in children’s theatre, storefront theatres, commercials and film. Becky got tired of freezing to death in Chi-town, packed up her Toyota Corolla and drove across the country to Los Angeles, where she is currently based. You might see her on your TV or smaller screen selling cereal, bratwursts, or giving financial advice.

Becky leads a rewarding life and has many other interests including languages – specifically American Sign Language and Italian.  She studied ASL briefly and loved it!  She plans to pick it back up and keep learning.  After a trip to Italy, Becky became a real Italophile and also wants to learn Italian.  She hopes to retire to Lake Como, Italy.  This girl has big dreams!

She has always been an accomplished baker and her tiramisu, which she learned how to make at a class she took in Tuscany (are you sensing a theme here?), is legendary!  She has now taken up cooking and is proud of her newfound ability to cook a variety of fish dishes and loves creating new sauces from scratch. She finds cooking very rewarding. Becky is currently studying at Shari Shaw Studios and previously studied at Warner Loughlin Studios and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. She is the supporting lead in the award winning short film called “Testimony” – currently making the film festival rounds – and has another short tackling abuse against women and other difficult conversations in post-production.
