Carl Stanfield

Carl Stanfield is a long distance backpacker obsessed with America's long trails. He first hiked the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail in 2018 and has been obsessed ever since. He went on to hike the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2019 before prepping for his year long excursion in 2022, when he became the first backpacker to hike border to border across the United States 3 times in a single calendar year. Carl grew up in Maryville, TN just outside the Smoky Mountains and still calls the general region home.
