Deidra Catero

Deidra Catero is an award winning Production Designer and Third Degree High Priestess with over 20 years of experience and formal training in both Art and Magick. Growing up in the mountains of New York, Deidra is a Design-Technology alumni from SUNY Purchase, a former Specialty Scenery Shop manager, published illustrator, and High-End Corporate Designer for Global Brands. Along with her luscious past, and film career, Deidra is a Design-Fabrication Specialist that has worked on over 25 film pieces varying from Production Designer, Art Director, Scenic Charge, and Historical Magick Consultant. Deidra is formally degreed in Progressive Witchcraft, with direct lineage to Alexandrian-Guardinarian. Her training includes Italian Witchcraft, Lakota, Druid, Celestial work, and more. With over two decades of self gnosis and impactful spiritual experiences, combined with formal training, Deidra is able to connect the Thread wielding a variety of traditions. Deidra seeks to create atmospheres that manifest hope and inspiration in others. She believes that her job as a Designer and artist is to use art to evoke emotion, and creative skillsets to tell a story through weaving things into reality from the filaments of our imaginations. She also believes that her job as a High Priestess is to help people to heal and grow on their journeys as she continues on hers. By bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary magick, Deidra shares the Thread connecting through a variety of traditions, honoring the past and allowing the future to move forward. She loves to combine her passions by working on films looking for that extra level of depth and understanding of the world around us. She also uses her illustration skills to help her teach through her art via what she calls her Astral Art, and by doing Spirit Portrait Readings. Her method of storytelling is to be accessible to the audience and relate to them through her own experiences. Deidra’s gift is to help others make the abstract tangible.
