Lauren Aboulafia

LAUREN ABOULFIA is a writer/actor/director/animator. She recently won best animation at LA Independent Women Film Awards for a short she wrote, directed, and animated called SUPER SCAR, which is based on her traumatic birth experience.


Winner of Best Actress in a Comedy at SeriesFest for a pilot she starred in and co-wrote called BROKER, about a zany and broke struggling actor who enters the unexpectedly hostile world of commercial real estate and finds herself acting the part of her life.


She received honors and degrees from University of Washington and the British Drama Academy in London. She performed onstage at Interlochen, The Williamstown Theatre Festival, Jewish Women's Theatre, the Groundlings and UCB. She has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies, but her hardest role so far is a mom, which consistently teaches her that life is ever-changing and love in the end is all we need. She has two sons, Abie (4) and Ziggy (1), and lives with her husband in Los Angeles.
