Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry is a straight, cisgender, male author and journalist, and a Native American, raised in the burbs of East LA. He attended public and private schools where he was bullied at both, and that’s where Patrick refined his comedy and quick thinking skills. Growing up on a steady diet of cartoons, movies and video games, Patrick was a natural geek and loved art, he won his bullies over with his drawings and his Legend of Zelda video game wrist watch. In his elementary school days, Patrick had a strong spiritual faith and served the Catholic Church as an altar boy and strongly considered entering seminary high school. After deciding against it, although being very spiritual, Patrick already realized he had a strong sexual side and didn’t want to silence that part of himself. Patrick instead attended traditional schools and went on to earn his degree in graphic design and later, attended the Los Angeles Film School where he emphasized on editing, screenwriting, and producing.

His love of John Hughes movies in the 80’s greatly influenced his romantic heart and led him down a road of adolescent heartbreak and some early hard life lessons learned. Patrick married his high school sweetheart and they have 3 children together. Unfortunately, Patrick’s ex-wife suffered severe postpartum depression and mental illness, she was hospitalized for several years. This gave Patrick the opportunity to be a single dad for over a decade. Once his ex came back into their lives, Patrick was able to fully pursue his passion of being a creative. Being a single father dating with three kids afforded Patrick many life lessons learned in the world of romance and sex.

Patrick feels that he could help save heartache and despair by sharing what he’s learned in his life experience. His exposure to different romantic partners expanded his knowledge in not only the romantic aspects of intimacy but the physical, spiritual, and kink aspects of sex as well.

Patrick has written and published one book, “Dating for Geeks (How to Date a Geek)” and is currently working on two follow ups for that book. One, focusing on sexual and kink relationships, and the other is a guide for geek parents or parents raising geeks. Patrick is also writing his first sci-fi novel and is a lead contributor to the gaming website, Gaming Yeeter.com as well as being a contributing political/current affairs writer for cannabis magazines. Patrick wants to continue his education and become a sex therapist. Patrick is currently single and lives in downtown Los Angeles with his 2 dogs, Kylo-Rin-Tin-Tin and Scrappy.
